Our childhood is always the best one when you look back at
it now being an adult. Growing up in Thamizhnadu is another advantage for the
kids to enhance ourselves culturally as well as to possess more humanitarian qualities
when compared to other states or region in India. Especially when you’re born
in 1990-2000 these years, you’re lucky enough that you’ve witnessed a drastic
changes in culture, tradition, technology and politics, which have affected us
in both positive and negative ways.
Being 90’s kids is totally unique in many ways, we have
grown up with many rumors, many assumptions, many regulations and many changes
and development.
In this post I want to throw some light on what it takes to
be a 90’s kid and to believe in silly rumors which made our childhood ‘a unique
and best part of our life’. And I’d like to dedicate this blog post a sequel
on.
These meme
creators and their memes are so widely celebrated because they brings the scenes
we've enjoyed virtually. This blog post is not possible without them. I've
collected many memes that are based on the 90's kids’ concept from various meme
pages through Instagram.

Starting this with a genuine meme.
In our childhood days, in schools we used create paper camera, paper frog toy,
paper rocket and four cups were our best mode of entertainment. This meme
portrays us as the best inventors during our childhood times.

the best superhero to whom we as 90’s kids’ believed in. Shakthimaan gave us
assurance to save us from any problem. This meme reminds us of the great belief
we had in Shakthimaan more than to that of the belief that we had in our self
or parents.

We literally believed that the broken teeth are only grown
when we through it high in the top tile of the house. Some also believed that we
should dig the ground and bury the broken teeth to not in the reach of
sunlight. Then only our teeth are grown after doing these silly rituals.
Meme 10 |
Trampling the books
unknowingly is also considered as a blunder. We had a belief that after
trampling books will make us dumb in studying. Books are considered sacred and
disrespecting books and notes that we carry to school or study is considered as
bad habit and that will make our mind slow in studying.
Meme 11 |
Our parents often controlled
us by threatening with their superstitious stories and this meme has one of
those stories. They told us not to go alone in night, if we do so, then ghosts
will come and call us with them. Those superstitious stories made us to obey
our parents.
Meme 12 |
Pimples in our face had
different story other than skin problems. We believed that somebody had crush
on us whenever a pimple pops up in our face. Our friends made fun of us with this
pimple story.
Meme 13 |
We had another way of
teasing. Knocking others head with our head. The consequence of this teasing is
dangerous. We believed that knocking like this will let a horn grow in the head
who knocks first. We always wondered about growing a horn in our head.
Meme 14 |
We found meaning for
every action, every nature’s act for example is this meme. If a crow crays in
front of one’s house, it is believed that relatives may come to their home. If
we hear lizards sound, it is believed that something good is going to happen
soon in the house.
Meme 15 |
We used to buy all kind
of chocolates and also in different colors. There’s one rose color toffee which
if eaten makes our tongue pink. We believed that toffee is the real essence of
Rose Milk, so we put it in our water bottle and claimed that we’d brought rose
milk in our water bottles to the school.
Meme 16 |
We don’t tease someone
who have moles or moles like dots in their tongue. We feared that they would
curse us if we do something wrong to them. In our childhood we considered
whatever they say would happen for sure.
Meme 17 |
You see a tornado, you’ll
run protect yourself, but for 90’s kids’ it is more dangerous than just
tornado. We considered it as the ghost wind, which would take us with them when
it comes near us.
We were the best and active kids during our childhood, as that you compare the 2k kids', They're locked with up their phones, merely saw playgrounds and physical activities are very low when compared to that of our times.
This is just a part of the hundreds of rumors we believed in. Now if we turn back and see, we were so funny when we spent our childhood knowing nothing but these silly things. Tune in for the sequel of this funny 90's kids'.
